Only few days are left before iVentions will start the massive operation of building the Champions League Village in Munich on the 12th of April. All to be finished in time to host more than 6.000 VIP guests that are invited to see the finalist football teams playing for the 2011/2012 Champions League trophy.

It will be the largest event set-up in the history of iVentions with more than 15.000 m2 of temporary structures being installed in a wide variety of shapes, technology and design. Apart from the “Oktoberfest”, the Champions Village will be the largest temporary event venue ever installed in Munich.

There are more than 180 people directly involved in the planning and setup of all the infrastructure; carpenters, mechanics, project managers, decorators, painters, 3D artists, architects, engineers, stand technicians and audiovisual experts haven been all working together to realize this project.

With more than 120 truck movements required to distribute all the materials to and from Munich, and involving people with more than 12 European nationalities, the operation is carried out in the true pan-European spirit of UEFA.

The finals will take place on the 19th of May 2012 in Munich’s landmark piece of architecture, the Allianz Arena, the 3rd biggest stadium of Germany, which can host 70.000 people.
