iVentions „goes green“

The iVentions tour team is committed to enhancing the environment through their operations wherever possible, minimizing any negative impact at all of the 27 events.

Throughout the year 2011, the European Year of Volunteering will be celebrated in all 27 capitals of the European member states. Iventions International Events S.L. has developed the structure and design that enable this exciting road show. In order to contribute to the wellness of our community, iVentions has focused on applying environmentally friendly products and messages.

iVentions strives for the key environmental management principals of “reduce, reuse and recycle.” It is committed to minimizing the amount of waste and to manage the on-site collection of this waste efficiently. Recycling will be actively promoted to visitors and participants, as well as the conscious use of products and the limited use of use paper. Furthermore, a smoke free policy will be enforced and properly indicated throughout the venues.

The structure and facilities at each venue are composed of ecological materials that are lightweight and made of sustainable and re-usable materials. This in turn reduces truck space and gasoline usage. Among the ecological materials used there will be Ecoplex wood, 100% recyclable PVC fabric, a reusable aluminum roof, and reusable carpeting and furniture. Iventions is keen on bringing environmental awareness to the European Year of Volunteering.
