In 2013, Barcelona will host the World Swimming Championships. For two weeks thousands of people from different countries and cultures will meet to attend the most important competition of the disciplines of FINA (swimming, water polo, diving, synchronized swimming, and open water swimming). BCN2013 aims to become the best World Championship swimming event in history. iVentions has been chosen to design, deliver, and manage a Village for BCN2013, including VIP and public hospitality areas, sponsorship stands & pavillions, entertainment, and staff dining facilities.
The VIP hospitality area that iVentions will build and manage is reserved for sponsors, companies or athletes who want a personalized service at a unique level of care, enjoying a fine dining experience in a luxury enviornment.
The public hospitality area is envisioned for spectators and for the general public, where they can enjoy unique catering facilities and visit the branded exhibition stands & pavillions from companies interested in selling their services and products to the public. This space will have an entertainment agenda that will be adapted to the competition schedule and run from the morning until later in the evening.
Lastly, iVentions will create a pavillion in which catering services are provided for members of the organization and volunteers.
BCN2013 and iVentions aim for the Village to become a reference area of the city's social life during the 17 days of Swimming Championships.
