Champions Village a big success!

2012-05-22

After months of preparation finally, FC Bayern and Chelsea could prove themselves to each other on the soccer field.

Everyone was ready for the final football game of 2012: The doors of the Champions Village were opened, 6000 guests were welcomed, last AV checks were done, catering set up fresh food buffets, weather was beautiful and music was playing.

In traditional Austrian cloth dirndl and lederhosen dressed hosts and hostesses greeted all the VIPs with a smile. The Bavarian band continued the cozy tone from the beginning. The taps and buffets were opened and everywhere around the Champions Village you could see guests talking and laughing.

The guests were asked their forecast of the outcome of the match. Predicted scores were shown on the specially designed "prediction wall" in the centre of the village.

Before the match, the entertainment program was announced by the charming Kate Abdo. Air dancers flew past your ears during their spectacular performance. Local folk dancers danced around. Outside, guests were enjoying the weather with a cool drink and a pretzel. Many pictures were taken with the real UEFA cup and large LED screens broadcasted fragments of previous Champions leagues. The match was played, and won by Chelsea but in the Champions Village people did not matter the outcome; while the music volume went up, drinks were poured and people enjoyed the atmosphere. Both in the general areas and sponsor areas the party continued until late into the night.
